Why do creationists always retort "You think you came from monkeys?!?!?!?"?

It just shows their ignorance... just because you CAME from something doesn't mean you're LIKE something... we all came from babies, does that mean we cry all the time and wail for our mommies? No... we CHANGED from apes... means that we are different. And do they honestly not see the resemblance? I mean if they want a 'missing evolutionary link', just look at our current president...
