Blackwater is basically a huge mercenary army, made up of former military personnel. They are located in North Carolina and they make their loot by providing security services in places like Iraq. Blackwater made recent headlines when it was widely reported of killings done by Blackwater in Iraq and the question arose who they are accountable to. The reason for their existence is simple. GREED! Military contractors make many times the money our soldiers are paid. It is actually quite a disgrace for our country having to depend on mercenaries, who mostly operate outside the law you and I have to follow.
