A friend's family is really bad. On her visit her pregnant sister whipped a DSLite and several game cases at my friend's head because my friend would not feed into her sisters negative antics and because she told the pregnant sister that she didn't have time to deal with drama. It wasn't long before another sister, the mother and the step father joined in on verbally and physically abusing my friend, their own family. The mother has been diagnosed psychotic, bipolar runs in the family as well as several diagnoses of the like. The pregnant sister and the father were living in the house where prescription meds were being sold as well as weed. The house was filled with roaches, maggots, fleas and flies. the roaches were so bad that they were in the microwave and the refridge. At the time there was eleven cats, five dogs, two ferrets, and a rabbit in their tiny house. The pregnant sister just had the baby yesterday. The sister that was attacked now experiences severe back pain everyday. She also received a black and blue face, not just eye from the fight which we took a picture of (Back in May or June I believe). I was wondering if I should inform child protective services of the potential danger this baby is in. I would also like to add that following the family altercation my friend returned to her grandmothers home, where the siblings and mother then began threats and harment through the internet. I am very concerned for the newborn's safety.

I would say yes. Separation of church and state aside (not really applicable since it isn't a requirement and they don't specify how or to whom people should pray), I think that it is a good thing to ask citizens to clearly connect their citizenship with their personal beliefs. So much of the time, we focus all our attention on ourselves...our prayers (if we pray) are limited to our own needs (extended family included) and concerns and interests, our thoughts are focused on our own life. I think it is a good thing to encourage people to take a day every once in a while to focus on the bigger picture...to step outside our little world and think and pray about the well-being of our entire country. Of course, I'd like to see some "world days of prayer" too...keep expanding our perspective so that we all spend a little less time worrying about ourselves and a little more time pondering the needs of others.

My doctor put me on abilify , trileptal, And benztropine anyone else on any of this?

Im bipolar and have severe panic attack disorder. I was on 40 milligrams of prozac a day and 4 milligrams of Lerazopam a day. But it was not stabilizing me like i needed it to an i was stuck in a depression rut. Now they switched me to 5 milligrams of Abilify, .5 milligrams of benztropine, 20 milligrams of prozac, 900 milligrams of trileptal all for one day. Im suppose to ween myself off of lerazopam so they can put me on kolonopin. It just seems like alot. I know the benztropine is for the side effects of abilify. So i wont have the involuntary movements that are a common side effect of it. I dont like taking medication at all let alone this much. But i also want to be able to concentrate, sleep, stop the racing thoughts,not have the ups and downs and not have the panic attacks as often. I dont know what to do. I also have been trying to have a baby for 6 months now and i cant be on trileptal while pregnant. So do i become dependent on these medications and not have a baby or not take them and feel like crap all the time so i can become pregnant again. I know it is my decision but i need some sort of input. thanks

Fraud/cancelling unauthorised transaction?

I checked my bank account today and found it was $500 less than the previous day, I suspect one of my housemates may have used my Visa Debit card for such a transaction. I am going to call my financial institution in the morning to ask where the transaction took place and when, and if it was an internet transaction, or a signed or PIN transaction. I have never had this happen before (with my card anyway, previously she has hacked my Paypal account to purchase things over the internet...) and am unsure of the process for cancelling such a transaction. I will be cancelling my card and changing all my pwords and PINs. If it is an unauthorised transaction, is it likely that the money will be returned, or is it going to be something I have to absorb? I have a 1989 jeep wagoneer that starts then dies I replaced all the spark plugs and checked everything?

the car used to not start but I found that by putting gas in my pump and pressurizing the system through an outlet on the fuel injection rail I can get the car to start. The problem is that the car starts and revs fine and everything but after 30 seconds or so the engine starts to sputter and dies. the thing is that when it sputters If I take my foot of the pedal it returns to idle but extremely ruff and then you just watch the rpms go down slowly until the engine dies. I'm going to try injecting fuel injector cleaner into the fuel injector rail with my pump to see if that helps but I suspect that it may be the pump or filter. If it heps the car is an automatic v6 and this all started happening while driving up a hill. before that it ran smooth and fine and never quite. so I don't think its the computer seeing as it wouldn't have run before. also before it became this bad the car would run good as long as you kept it at a high rpm. there seems to be gas but maybe the pump is weak.

Ticking sound from engine 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT?

It has 87,000 miles on it and I just bought it this week. The guy I bought it from said it was a lifter noise. I took it in to get the brakes and rotors changed and the guy that test drove it after they were done (he's a certified mechanic) said that it sounds like an exhaust leak because the sound gets worse as the rpm's get higher. Airbag light fix or not....?

For about 2 weeks now my airbag light has been on while I am driving, and stays on. I took it to the dealership and they told me the SDM Module needs to be replaced....however I had just picked it up from them two days before because they told me it needed the ignition switch replaced, for a different problem that was occuring (dash lights were staying on when I turned the car off).....they are going to goodwill it and pay for 75% of the repairs.....I was all set to do it and then the day before I was taking it in the original problem with the dash lights happened again....they are going to fix that for free, but should I still pay to get the airbag module fixed? I'm wondering how trust worthy they are and if it's even as bad as they say it is, but if i go somewhere else and that is the problem I will have to pay full price...HELP!

We've tried plugging all of our components into our receiver and just an optic cable into the TV and it still shuts our TV off.. We have tried unplugging the receiver from the TV and just plug our shaw box into the TV and that fixes the problem with our TV shutting off.. so we are uming it has to be an onkyo problem if when it is the only thing plugged into our tv, our tv shuts off.. any suggestions as to what this could be??

How to sterilize my incubator?

Anyone know how to QUICKLY sterilize a styrofoam incubator? I had a duck hatch the other day in it, and he was sick for a little while after hatching, but eventually pulled through, then I had two chickens hatch this morning that were fine when hatching began but after being in the incubator overnight now have the same symptoms. I believe there is a contamination in there. I have hatched six chickens in there so far, besides these four animals, so I have alot of eggs left before I can clean it properly. Wild baby rabbit?

My brother-in-law was mowing his lawn and almost ran over this little rabbit, he picked it up and brought it to me for my daughter to keep as a pet. I accepted it, but after watching it be scared almost to death I've decided it would be much more humane to release it again. It was found alone and not in a burrow. It doesn't have a white blaze on it's head and I've heard that means it's old enough to make it on it's own. My problem is that I don't know where the best place to release it would be. We live out in the country but there are 14 dogs and at least 2 cats roaming the nearby area at any given time. Would it be better to let her go where she is familiar and let her risk it with the dogs, or relocate her somewhere there are fewer dogs but not familiar to her? She seems healthy although she will barely move, but I think that's just fear. My mother thinks I should keep her til she's older and then release her so that's also an option.

Buy what u like. Clothes don't go out of style for a good year or two, unless they are like totally abnormal. Roxy is always in style. U should get a few of there jackets and purses. Flats are good to wear, very fashionable and cute. Im not sure about the stickers, i have never been to NYC, but i would have to say, try a few souvenir shops. Buy a some of this kind of shoe, and some other kind, so that way u don't have a ton of one kind of shoes. Other than that, when u go to NYC, go to many stores, and just find what u like and just go with the flow.

Well it all started last night. I was going through mine and Rylee's (9 1/2 months) clothes that were too small. Actually I still had my maternity clothes in my closet and Rylee's newborn clothes in the floor bagged up. It was driving me crazy. Anyway, she was in her crib watching Dora and playing with Daddy. Daddy was singing the map song to her and at the end daddy said "Map" and Rylee promptly said "map". Plain as day. She likes it when the wonder pets sing, so daddy likes to sing "linny, tuck, and ming ming, too" to her. For a few days when you say "tuck" she says "dut". This morning really got me though. We went into the kitchen and I put her in the floor to play. She crawled over to her book and said "book" then she turned the page to the dog (it's a touch and feel book) and said "dog". I was just shaking my head-convinced I was hearing things. Then she crawled into the living room and picked up the phone charger my hubs had left in the floor and said "dat" (that), and I said "no you can't have 'dat'" Then I realized I was talking back to her. Ugh...I am so sleepy today, could she just be imitating what we are saying? I dont' think she actually knows she is saying words. It was just so funny that she kept saying stuff this morning. I mean she has just gotten to where she says "ma-ma" and "da-da" to the right people and she has been saying "bye-bye" and waving for a couple of months. She has also came out with "uh-oh" a few times when she drops something. So, what's your opinion? Do you think saying those other words was just an imitation of us talking?

Can TMJ cause swollen node in neck?

Hi there! Well, I have TMJ, and I also have a swollen node (although mine is on the right side, behind the lobe & I have TMJ on both sides of the jaw). I'm not sure that this is related to TMJ. Do you wear earrings or maybe just one earring on that side? When I had the swollen node examined by a doctor at a regular checkup, she suggested I take out my earrings and wait for a couple of weeks to see if the swelling went down. It DID go down considerably. Apparently I am allergic to the metal in earrings and this is misinterpreted as an infection, causing the lymph nodes to swell, though it caused no noticeable irritation in my ear itself. Also, do you have any cavities? This, too, can cause swollen lymph nodes on the side of the cavity, especially if it has reached root. Because TMJ isn't an infection of any kind, I don't believe it would cause swelling of the node. If it is benign, though, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just take a good hard look at your face and the surrounding area. Any cuts, piercings, or cavities? Any of these things could be the cause. My lymph nodes also react violently to dying my hair, and stay swollen for months. Good luck!

Is itching from BV or from shaving?

recently(weeks, a month and a half a go or so) i got medication for bacterial vaginosis. i took it for 5 days(what it said on the label) and it didnt go away. we called the doctor and i got the same medication and did the same routine. but, i still dont know if its away or not? i shaved my pubic area too, and now i have NO idea if the itching is from shaving or if its still BV? someone please help. im only 14. and btw i have no idea how i got BV, i've never had or used any 'chemicals' down there. im so frustrated with it, and i dont want to go to the gyno AGAIN, unless its still BV. i will report stupid, insulting, or non helpful comments. please just try to help, im so frustrated with this. is it from shaving or is it still BV? thanks.

i got pulled over for not wearing my seatbelt yes i broke the law ok i admit it but i was driveing 65-70 on the interstate the cop was in the median shooting for speeders since i wasnt speeding he couldnt get me on that but i saw him pull out when i was about 1/4 mile down the road i realized i didnt have my seat belt on so i put it on. As for getting ready for school, it's a good idea to do some preliminary work over the summer; the "Made Simple" series of workbooks has many subjects which she might be taking next year, and she could get a head start so she won't fall behind. I always get my things for school ready at least 2 weeks ahead of time, and you could take her on a tour of the school if she is going to the same school as you...It might make her feel more comfortable with her surroundings. its good to know there are positive stories following ttc. i too have polycystic ovarys, i was diagnosed last year in january after having irregular periods. i then found i had a bicornute uterus and beforehand suffered with pid. i was told id most likely never have any children and it broke my heart as id only ever wanted to be a mum. i became obsessed with getting pregnant but it didnt happen and i thought my dream wouldnt ever come true. it wasnt until my met my partner that i felt really happy and settled. everything happened naturally, i fell pregnant as soon as we started ttc. i was really happy and greatful. i now have a beautiful 9 week old daughter and every day i thank god for my little girl. i couldnt imagine my life without her. i now know that it made me stronger and more patient, which is why i believe everything happens for a reason. im now glad i didnt get pregnant until then or my daughter wouldnt be here. im more thankful aswell as just taking it for granted like some women do. good luck with your life and your baby, its the best thing in the world being a mummy and im enjoying every moment!

It is extremely easy to become vegan or vegetarian... The thing is you just have to do it. Like tomorrow just say I am cutting out meat forever. You will find food to eat.. It is quite simply. But if you prolong it you wil just stay addicted to animal products.. It is easier to pull off the band aid.. I would not go back to the instructor if she can't follow simple request. That could have been a life or death situation. As for the tubes in your daughters ears... I had tubes put in my ears all the way from 2 up til i was 10. That is when my parents took me to another doctor. I had my tonsils removed and never had ear problems again. I would recommend getting a second opinion on your daughters condition. It never hurts to get a second opinion.

I think it's perfectly normal. Sometimes it seems that a lot of people are A LOT better than you and you have no chance of success. If this isn't normal, then I've got the same problem you have! But in all seriousness, it is natural to feel unsure of yourself especially at this age. This feeling runs rampant in competitive high schools, where it seems like everyone is fighting to win some contest that doesn't exist. It's great you have a dream, being a doctor is an INCREDIBLE honor, and I could never imagine tackling such a difficult task of becoming one. Remember, not all those people who are "more suited" for medical school than you are aren't all trying to become doctors. Plus, like you said, it takes a LOT more than just GPA scores and other things to become a doctor. You certainly have to have drive. You can't become too doubtful of yourself, even though it is normal. The doubt is another challenge to overcome. Time for me to bring out the cliques: Give it your all, no matter what, because in the end, you might not make it. But there are no regrets. And if there is one thing more painful than failure, it's regret. You only get one life, or if you believe reincarnation, you only get to go through this existence once. So, you really should try become a doctor.

Recent college grad, cannot find job?

What am I doing wrong? I got the B.A. and i've applied at close to 20 places with no call backs. I've called a couple of them and they said they'd call me to let me know, and again, no call back. I had treatment in April 2008 (surgically punctured and dressed daily) for the first six weeks. I still have a small hole next to my bottom that leaks a small amount of fluid and just refuses to heal. I still have a stinging pain from time to time too.

now that i am a tad older ( early 20s) I am finally seeing it for what its worth. Everything in the industry is fake and contrived. It's not that I am desensitized by , it just that in the long run , the fantasy wears off and it becomes a boring routine. We told our apartment manager not to have the plumber come today because my girlfriend just had surgery this morning, however he came. When he finished fixing the toilet he left sewage water all over the bathroom floor, and hallway carpet. he also threw the poop covered object that was blocking the toilet into our sink. Our apartment now reeks of feces and the apartment manager wont do anything about it. Is this a violation of any sort? Tenet rights? Health code violation?

4 goldfish- and a catfish?

ok so about 4 months ago i wanted to start a 15 gal freshwater aquarium so i did got everything i needed filter,heater,air pump ect and let it cycle for a month i was told to get a gold fish to help it cycle so i did from a local pet shop the person told it would do well ina 15 gallon so i got it it was a buck and cute. well a naighbor of mine whos got 3 kids seen my tank and told me she wanted a fish tank and some fish for her kids so she went out to wal-mart got a gl bowl and 3 fancy goldfish. and a cat fish she told me how pretty her new aquarium was with the fish in it (i personally didnt see it) and i congradulated her. well about 2 weeks later she asked me to come over she wanted help witrh it so i went. the bowl had no gravel and was filthy she told me it stunk and she was just going to dump it down the toilet fish and all! i told her i would take the fish. well the goldfish i got from the pet store is an Oranda i just found out and the gold fish she gave me were 3 calico colored one has googly eyes like a black moore the other has a skinny head and the last one has a rounded head like my Oranda. the cat fish has long whiskers and spots. is my 15 gallon going to be big enough? they are all small now but how big will they get? i couldnt just let her flush them i have had them 3 weeks in quarintine and they are looking alot better. if this is too small i would like to get a bigger tank but i cant get a bigger tank right now maybe not for a few months will they all be ok untill i can get somthing bigger? my boyfreind has a freind who gets 100-300 gallon sized tanks all the time cleans them up then re-sells them i could get one from him but it will be awile befoe i can get the money to buy one. what does everyone suggest? is a hundred gallon enough for all 4 fish?

Dear UK citizens. Since I am living here, I was always wondering why in lord do you have 2 water taps in bathroom&kitchen. In Europe everywhere is 1 mix tap with hot&cold water in one outcome-pipe. In britain you have either ice cold tap or fire burning hot tap. How in world can I wash my hands and face like that? You either have glacier cold water where memories from Gulf war come back, shaving with knife, dry with cold water or you can burn your body with hot water where temperature can reach up to 70-80�C(where aminoacid in your body gets solid like an egg). Noone could answer me this question since I'm here. Why not 1 tap? I need warm water for my daily life, not hot, not cold, warm only.
